What we collect and what we do not

Last updated 20 April 2026

gptimage2prompts.com is an independent, community-maintained prompt library. This page explains exactly what happens to data you interact with on the site, what stays in your browser, what stays on our servers, and what we never touch.

Data you send us directly

When you submit a prompt through the Submit form, we store the title, prompt text, category, tags, and optional author display name in our database. Submitted prompts start in a pending moderation state until a maintainer approves them. We do not attach your IP address or any tracking identifier to a submitted prompt.

When you join the waitlist, we store the email address you provide and nothing else. You can ask us to remove that email at any time.

What stays in your browser

Your fal API key is stored in your browser's localStorage under a single key and never leaves your device. The tools (/playground, /edit, /style-reference, /i2i) call fal.ai directly from the browser with that key. We do not proxy or log those requests.

A random visitor id is stored in your browser so we can track which prompts you have liked. The id is not linked to a person and cannot be used to identify you.

Counters we store

We increment a like counter when you click the heart on a prompt and a view counter when you open a prompt detail page. We store these counts per prompt, not per person. A separate small table records which of your likes are yours (indexed by your local visitor id) so we can show the correct toggle state on return visits.

Cookies and analytics

We do not set advertising cookies. We do not run third-party analytics at this time. If that ever changes we will update this page and mention it in the footer.

Third-party services

The site uses fal.ai to run image generation. When you render an image through a tool on this site, fal.ai receives your API key, your prompt text, and (for edits) the image you uploaded. Review fal.ai's legal terms to understand how they handle that data.

The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for the prompt library database. Both providers see ordinary web request metadata (IP, user agent) at the network edge in the course of serving the site.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13. Do not submit identifying information about minors through the Submit form.

Your rights

You can remove your fal API key at any time from /settings. You can clear your local visitor id by clearing site data in your browser, which will reset your like state. Prompt submissions and waitlist signups can be deleted on request by emailing the address listed in the contact section below.
